Hello Impact is an independent nonprofit sector intelligence platform.
It exists because the sector produces more information than any one practitioner can keep up with, and because most of what gets published about nonprofits tells organizations what to do before it has taken the time to understand what is actually happening.
Hello Impact tracks what’s happening. Through Patterns, Field Notes, and Reports, the platform documents how mission-driven organizations communicate their work, invite participation, and build public support, drawing on sector research, observable campaign behavior, and field analysis rather than opinion or trend chasing.
About the Founder
As National Director of Community Partnerships at Inspiritus and Chief Community Engagement Officer at Action Ministries, she brought the same research-informed approach to funder positioning, campaign strategy, and community engagement at scale. Through those roles she managed multi-state institutional portfolios, secured $3.5M+ in new funding across housing, workforce development, and disaster relief programs, and mobilized 10,000+ volunteers across 1,200+ partner organizations statewide.
She also serves on the board of the Kelly Miller Smith Foundation, named in honor of her grandfather Dr. Kelly Miller Smith Sr., a prominent civil rights leader and pastor in Nashville. The foundation's work centers on social justice advocacy, racial equity, and civic engagement.
Her career has been grounded in one consistent question: how do organizations earn understanding and support from the people they are trying to reach? Hello Impact is where that question gets examined at scale.
Shakura Conoly brings more than 20 years of experience spanning market analysis, nonprofit fundraising, corporate and foundation partnership development, and volunteer engagement to this work.
Early in her career at Arylessence, she developed foundational skills in market analysis, synthesizing industry studies, tracking competitive landscapes, and identifying emerging trends to inform product positioning for national accounts. That analytical foundation carried forward.
A career spanning partnerships with organizations including:
(and many more)
Built through positions at Action Ministries (now Hope Atlanta), The Mount Vernon School, and Inspiritus, spanning 100+ corporate, foundation, and community partners.
Bring This Work to Your Organization
Hello Impact is primarily a public research and analysis platform. Occasionally, Shakura works directly with nonprofits, boards, associations, and foundations interested in bringing these observations into conversations about fundraising, communication, participation, and long-term sustainability.
Organizations typically reach out when they are trying to understand a shift they are seeing, spark discussion among staff or board members, or bring outside perspective to questions about fundraising, communication, or long-term sustainability.
Engagements may include:
Board and leadership briefings exploring emerging fundraising, communication, and engagement trends and what they may mean for your organization.
Conference presentations and workshops tailored for associations, foundations, networks, and nonprofit convenings.
Facilitated strategy discussions designed to help teams make sense of uncertainty, surface questions, and identify opportunities for adaptation.
Custom research summaries that synthesize relevant studies, campaigns, and field observations around a specific issue or challenge.
